Branford Marsalis & Dianne Reeves celebrate John Coltrane
On 14 November 2026 at the Isarphilharmonie in Munich, Branford Marsalis and Dianne Reeves join forces to celebrate the music of John Coltrane in a concert that blends reverence with adventurous reinterpretation. Marsalis's commanding tenor and soprano saxophone lines will intertwine with Reeves's luminous, jazz-rooted vocals as they explore Coltrane standards and deeper cuts, supported by a sympathetic rhythm section and guest soloists who honor both the spiritual intensity and harmonic daring of the original recordings. The evening promises lush balladry, high-energy improvisations, and intimate dialogues between voice and saxophone that will resonate in the Isarphilharmonie's acclaimed acoustics, creating a moving tribute for longtime fans and newcomers alike. Whether you know Coltrane's canon well or are discovering it anew, this concert offers a rare opportunity to hear two of jazz's most eloquent interpreters bring fresh perspective to some of the music's most enduring compositions. Tickets are expected to move quickly for this special event, so early booking is recommended to secure seats for what will surely be a highlight of Munich's 2026 concert season.
