Chris Steger resides in the charming town of St. Martin am Tennengebirge with his parents. His journey into the spotlight began in 2016 when he participated in the Kiddy Contest, winning hearts with his rendition of Shawn Mendes' "Stitches." Despite a brief stint on The Voice Kids in Germany the following year, where he left the competition after the second round, Chris persevered in pursuit of his musical dreams.
In 2020, Chris Steger collaborated with his manager, Christof Straub, to release the breakout hit "Zefix." This song not only earned him recognition as the 2020 Song of the Year in Austria but also marked a turning point in his career. With a strong debut on the charts, "Zefix" held its ground for an impressive 19 weeks. The success continued at the Amadeus Awards in 2021, where it was honored as Austria's Song of the Year.
