Danceperados of Ireland - Life, love and lore of the Irish Travellers Tour
On 2027-02-24 at Stadthalle Oer-erkenschwick in Oer-erkenschwick, the Danceperados of Ireland bring Life, Love and Lore of the Irish Travellers Tour, a concert that melds thunderous Irish stepdance, live traditional music and intimate storytelling to celebrate the resilience, romance and rich oral heritage of the Irish Traveller community. With choreographed footwork, soaring fiddle and bodhrán-driven rhythms, evocative songs and spoken recollections woven into theatrical staging, the company traces journeys of family, migration and belonging while inviting the audience to share in both exuberant reels and quieter, poignant memories. The production combines historical sensitivity and contemporary artistry to honor Traveller voices and customs, presenting a warm, communal atmosphere that feels at once ancestral and immediate. Whether you come for the musicianship, the drama or the cultural discovery, this concert promises an emotional, foot-stomping night of music, dance and narrative, and tickets are available to secure seats for what will be an unforgettable evening.
