Danceperados of Ireland – Live, Love, Lore of the Irish Travellers
On 2027-02-23 at the Volksbühne Am Rudolfplatz in Cologne, the Danceperados of Ireland present Live, Love, Lore of the Irish Travellers, an electrifying theatrical concert that weaves sean-nós singing, traditional fiddle and bodhrán rhythms, percussive step-dance and intimate storytelling drawn from the travelling community into a single immersive evening; the performance transforms the stage into a living crossroads of music, memory and contemporary imagination, inviting audiences into a raw, joyous and moving celebration of identity and resilience. The company's dynamic choreography and live musicians create visceral momentum and warmth, while narrative interludes illuminate the lore and lives of the Irish Travellers, making the evening both entertaining and deeply human. Theatergoers in Cologne will be swept up in call-and-response refrains, driving rhythms and haunting melodies, and are advised to secure tickets early to ensure they do not miss this uniquely theatrical concert experience.
