Davide Van De Sfroos and Folkestra
On 2026-12-12, Davide Van De Sfroos and the ensemble Folkestra will take the stage at Teatro Sociale in Sondrio for an intimate evening that blends his laconic Lombard storytelling with sweeping folk-orchestral arrangements, transforming the historic theatre into a warm, communal celebration of northern Italian musical traditions and contemporary songwriting. Expect a set that moves from plaintive acoustic ballads and accordion-driven laments to rousing choruses and dynamic instrumental interludes, with Folkestra's strings, brass and percussion amplifying Van De Sfroos's voice and dialectal lyrics into cinematic textures that invite both reflection and foot-stomping joy. The production will highlight new interpretations of signature songs alongside lesser-known regional airs, all framed by the winter ambiance of Sondrio's cultural heart and the intimacy of Teatro Sociale's acoustics. Fans and newcomers alike are advised to secure tickets early as demand for this seasonal concert is likely to be high, and organizers promise an accessible, emotionally resonant evening that showcases the vitality of folk music in a modern concert setting.
