Der Nussknacker - Familientag is a family-oriented concert taking place on December 3, 2026 at the Oper Leipzig in Leipzig, offering a festive introduction to Tchaikovsky's beloved score for children and adults alike. The program highlights the most enchanting moments of The Nutcracker with lively orchestral passages, familiar dances and evocative scenes such as the snowfall and the Land of Sweets, brought to life through clear musical storytelling and visual elements tailored for young audiences. Designed as an accessible experience rather than a full-length ballet, the event combines concise musical arrangements, gentle narration and playful staging to spark imagination and make classical music approachable for families. Tickets for this special seasonal concert are recommended in advance to secure seats for what promises to be a magical outing for visitors of all ages.
