Glenn Miller Orchestra directed by Uli Plettendorff
On 2027-01-13 the world-famous Glenn Miller Orchestra, under the musical direction of Uli Plettendorff, brings the timeless swing and silky ballads of the big band era to Johanniskirche Magdeburg, delivering an evening of impeccably arranged classics such as "In the Mood" and "Moonlight Serenade" alongside stirring new interpretations that showcase virtuosic soloists and lush ensemble playing. The warm acoustics and historic atmosphere of the Johanniskirche provide an ideal setting for the orchestra’s signature blend of driving brass, velvety reeds, and elegant rhythm sections, inviting both longtime fans and newcomers in Magdeburg to experience the charm and precision of a true swing institution.
