On 2026-12-05, the Opernhaus Frankfurt in Frankfurt presents a concert performance of Engelbert Humperdinck's Hänsel und Gretel, bringing the beloved fairy-tale opera to life with full orchestra and chorus. Under the direction of a distinguished conductor and featuring accomplished soloists and a children's chorus, the evening promises warmth, theatrical colour and the famous lullaby and gingerbread motifs celebrated in the score. Staging blends traditional fairy-tale costumes with contemporary visual design to create an immersive experience for families and opera lovers alike, with magical lighting and lavish sets that evoke the forest and the witch's gingerbread house. Because the performance falls in early December the atmosphere will feel especially seasonal, making the event an ideal outing for parents and children or for anyone seeking a festive musical treat. Tickets are available now through the Opernhaus box office and online, and early booking is recommended as this concert is expected to sell quickly.
