In 1992, he relocated to Istanbul, where he began working at bars in Ortaköy. It was during this time that he crossed paths with Yildiray Gürgen and collaborated with musicians like Serdar Öztop and Akın Eldes to enhance the quality of his albums.
Levent's musical career took off with the release of his debut album, *Yollarda*, in July 1993. The success of his second album, *Bir Gece Vakti*, in 1995, with sales approaching one million dollars, solidified his position in the Turkish music scene. Subsequent albums, including *Yine Ayrılık*, *Kral Çıplak*, and *Annemin Türküleri*, showcased his versatility and garnered widespread acclaim.

In 2023, Haluk Levent achieved global recognition when he was named one of Time magazine's "100 Most Influential People in the World." However, he decided not to attend the gala due to criticism directed at the Turkish government in an entry by Elif Shafak.
Ahbap: A Social Initiative
In 2017, Levent founded the non-governmental organization Ahbap, which, by 2023, was active in 68 cities across Turkey. Ahbap gained significant popularity after providing assistance to those affected by the earthquake in February 2023. Campaigns encouraging donations to Ahbap instead of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) of the Turkish Government reflected societal distrust. Despite initial criticism, Levent's call for support for both Ahbap and AFAD, backed by famous singer Tarkan, led to a change in public opinion.
