Irish Christmas - Seldom Sober Company & Friends
On 2026-11-26 the Irish Christmas - Seldom Sober Company & Friends will bring a spirited evening of Irish carols, reels, and contemporary folk arrangements to the vaulted nave of Peterskirche Leipzig, creating a warm, convivial celebration of seasonal music in the heart of the city of Leipzig. Inspired by traditional sessions and theatrical storytelling, the band and its circle of guest musicians weave fiddles, bodhrán, accordion and close harmonies into both rousing sing-alongs and haunting winter ballads, while the church's superb acoustics amplify every nuance. The program blends beloved carols, original compositions and lively tunes that invite foot-stomping and gentle reflection alike, making the concert equally suitable for families, longtime fans and newcomers seeking a unique holiday experience. Visitors are encouraged to reserve tickets early to ensure seating for this intimate seasonal event and to enjoy the festive atmosphere spilling out into Leipzig's historic streets after the final encore.
