On 7 March 2027 the Kammerchor der Universität Göttingen and lautten compagney BERLIN join forces for a singular concert at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, presenting a program that highlights the ensemble's strengths in choral refinement and historically informed instrumental color. Combining the choir's luminous blend with the baroque orchestra's expressive continuo and deft soloists, the performance will weave sacred and secular repertoire, from intricate contrapuntal motets to intimate chamber cantatas, into a coherent musical journey shaped by dramatic contrasts and precise ensemble work. The Elbphilharmonie's celebrated acoustics and architecture will amplify the music's clarity and emotional nuance, while carefully curated tempi and phrasing promise both scholarly insight and immediate appeal. Tickets for this special evening offer listeners the chance to experience a rare collaboration between two leading early-music forces and should be secured early.
