The Moon&Stars festival will take place on 2027-07-17 at Piazza Grande in the city of Locarno, transforming the iconic square into a glittering open-air stage where international musicians, emerging artists, and local performers create a night of unforgettable live music under the stars. Set against the dramatic backdrop of the Swiss Alps and the shimmering lake, the event blends stellar performances with gourmet street food, artisan stalls, and immersive light installations that celebrate both sound and scenery. Attendees can expect a carefully curated lineup spanning genres from indie and pop to jazz and electronic, energetic crowds, and moments of intimate connection as bands play into the balmy summer night. The festival atmosphere extends beyond the main stage with pop-up DJ sets, family-friendly programming earlier in the day, and opportunities to explore Locarno's historic streets and lakeside promenade before and after the shows. Advance tickets are recommended for guaranteed entry and preferred viewing areas, and festival-goers are encouraged to plan their arrival early to soak in the full ambiance of Piazza Grande as the sun sets and the performances begin.
