The Pixies are an American alternative rock band formed in 1986. The band consists of Black Francis (vocals, guitar), Joey Santiago (guitar), David Lovering (drums), and Paz Lenchantin (bass, vocals). The Pixies are known for their loud, energetic live shows and are considered one of the most influential bands of the 1980s and 1990s.

The band first gained popularity in the United States and the United Kingdom with their debut full-length album "Surfer Rosa" in 1988, which was followed by "Doolittle" in 1989. Their unique sound, which combines elements of punk, surf rock, and psychedelic music, has been cited as a major influence on many other bands, including Nirvana, Radiohead, and Weezer.

The band has released several albums throughout their career, including "Trompe le Monde" (1991), "Bossanova" (1990), "Indie Cindy" (2014), and "Beneath the Eyrie" (2019). They also have a number of EPs, compilations, and live albums.

The Pixies have toured extensively throughout their career, and tickets for their concerts are highly sought after. They have played in venues across the United States, Europe, and Asia, including festivals such as Coachella, Glastonbury, and Primavera Sound. Their live shows are known for their high energy, with the band often playing hits from their extensive catalog, as well as new material from their most recent album.

If you're a fan of the Pixies, you won't want to miss the opportunity to see them live in concert. Be sure to get your tickets early, as their shows tend to sell out quickly. Whether you're a long-time fan or new to the band, a Pixies concert is an experience you won't forget.
