Simply Red - Summer Funk '27
On 14 July 2027 Simply Red brings the joyful energy of Summer Funk '27 to the historic Thurn und Taxis Schlossfestspiele in Regensburg, where the palace gardens will become an open-air stage for soulful vocals, punchy horn lines and groove-driven arrangements that invite both longtime fans and new listeners to sing and dance under the summer sky. Fronted by Mick Hucknall's unmistakable voice, the band will weave together beloved hits and funk-forward reinterpretations, creating a setlist that balances nostalgia with fresh, danceable rhythms and impeccable musicianship. The festival's atmospheric setting — centuries-old architecture, scenic courtyards and warm Bavarian evenings — amplifies the live experience, providing intimate sightlines and vibrant acoustics that make every note resonate. Whether you're planning a night out with friends or a memorable cultural excursion in Regensburg, this concert promises a celebration of rhythm, melody and summer spirit, and music lovers are advised to secure tickets early to ensure their place at one of the season's most anticipated performances.
