Tayc, born Julien Franck Bouadjie Monono Kamgang on May 2, 1996, is a prominent French singer and songwriter, widely recognized for his soulful voice and captivating performances. Pronounced as TYKE (/taɪk/), Tayc rose to fame with his triple album titled "Nyxia" in 2019, following the success of two earlier mixtapes and several hit singles.

The breakthrough moment in Tayc's career came with the release of his second album, "Fleur froide" in 2020, propelling him into the international music scene. His latest musical endeavor, "Fleur froide - Second état: la cristallisation" (2021), features a collection of new singles along with tracks from his previous album, "Fleur Froide."

Hailing from Marseille and born to Cameroonian parents, Tayc's artistic journey began in 2012 when he moved to Paris. Initially exploring theater and dance, he eventually transitioned to music and songwriting. The progression of his musical prowess is evident in his early works, including the 10-track mixtape "Alchemy" released on May 30, 2017, and the second mixtape "H.E.L.I.O.S" unveiled on July 27, 2018.

Tayc's collaboration with the label H24, founded by Barack Adama of Sexion D'assaut, marked a significant milestone in his career. The culmination of his efforts materialized in the form of his debut studio album, "NYXIA," released in February 2019. This album saw two reissues, "Tome II" on June 21, 2019, and "Tome III" on December 13, 2019, both falling under the overarching title "Nyxia." "Tome II" specifically delved into Tayc's Cameroonian roots, showcasing the depth and diversity of his musical influences. The triple album was celebrated with a grand concert at Trianon de Paris on October 19, 2019, reflecting Tayc's commitment to delivering memorable live performances.

In a surprising turn of events, Tayc showcased his versatility by participating in the eleventh season of "Danse avec les stars," the French version of Dancing with the Stars, in 2021. Paired with professional dancer Fauve Hautot, Tayc displayed not only his musical talents but also his prowess on the dance floor. The duo emerged victorious on November 26, 2021, securing 56% of the votes, triumphing over competitors Bilal Hassani and Jordan Mouillerac.

Tayc's journey in the dance competition was marked by noteworthy performances and strategic moves. Notably, in weeks 1 and 2, the competition structure allowed half of the couples to compete each week, with judges possessing a golden buzzer for direct qualification to week 3. The semi-final saw Tayc and Fauve finishing first in the first round, earning them a direct pass to the final without performing their second routine.

The finale presented a unique judging format, with judges only providing notes for the first round. In the subsequent rounds, judges selected their preferred routine between the two finalists. Tayc's consistently impressive performances garnered widespread acclaim, with the majority of judges favoring his routines in the later stages of the competition.

Fans of Tayc can anticipate an exhilarating concert experience, with the artist regularly announcing tour dates and ticket releases. Stay tuned for the latest updates on Tayc's dynamic musical journey and upcoming concerts, as he continues to captivate audiences with his soul-stirring performances and diverse artistic expressions.
