Ben Folds Paper Airplane Request Tour
Ben Folds brings his Paper Airplane Request Tour to Sage Gateshead in the city of Gateshead on 2026-11-16, promising a concert built on spontaneity as audience members toss paper airplanes with song requests and watch as Folds turns those calls into piano-driven storytelling, improvisation, and witty banter. The show blends intimate piano ballads with raucous singalongs and surprising arrangements, creating moments that range from quietly reflective to joyously cathartic, all amplified by the striking, modern architecture and renowned acoustics of Sage Gateshead. Expect the evening to feel equal parts interactive game and masterful performance, with Ben Folds' deft musicianship and quick humor guiding the flow of the set and making each performance unique. Whether you come for the emotional depth of slower numbers or the playful unpredictability of audience requests, the night promises to be memorable and distinctly communal. Tickets are limited for this special event, so fans should secure their tickets early to be part of this one-of-a-kind musical experience.
