Don Kosaken Chor Serge Jaroff

On 2026-12-13 the Don Kosaken Chor Serge Jaroff will return to Ev.-luth. St. Markus-kirche in Chemnitz for an evening of stirring Russian sacred and folk music. Renowned for its thunderous basses, luminous tenors and seamless a cappella blends, the ensemble will present a program that ranges from intimate liturgical chants to exuberant Cossack songs, each piece magnified by the church's resonant acoustics. The candlelit nave and vaulted ceilings of St. Markus will frame the choir's dynamic range and emotional intensity, creating an immersive, almost theatrical experience that suits both long-time admirers and newcomers alike. Tickets for this concert are expected to sell quickly, so early booking is recommended to ensure a place at what promises to be one of Chemnitz's most memorable musical events of the winter season.
