Don Kosaken Chor Serge Jaroff® - künstlerische Leitung: Wanja Hlibka
On 2026-12-27 the Don Kosaken Chor Serge Jaroff® - künstlerische Leitung: Wanja Hlibka will present a majestic concert at the historic St. Nikolaikirche Potsdam, bringing its storied repertoire of Russian sacred and folk music to the city of Potsdam. Under the artistic direction of Wanja Hlibka, the ensemble's resonant basses, luminous tenors and shimmering harmonies will fill the church's warm acoustic, creating an immersive seasonal experience perfectly matched to the intimate grandeur of the venue. Audiences can expect a programme that moves from thunderous Cossack songs to contemplative Orthodox chants and tender arrangements of winter and folk melodies, all rendered with trademark precision and heartfelt intensity. Set between Christmas and New Year's, the evening promises an emotional journey that highlights both virtuoso ensemble singing and moments of hushed reflection beneath the church's vaulted ceilings. Due to limited seating in the historic space, early reservation of tickets is advised to secure the best seats for this extraordinary seasonal event in Potsdam.
