Ibibio Sound Machine - Chopping Mountain European Tour
On February 12, 2027, Ibibio Sound Machine bring their Chopping Mountain European Tour to Gretchen in Berlin, promising a night where West African highlife, disco, funk and synth-driven post‑punk collide into irresistible dance grooves. The intimate club setting will magnify the band's kaleidoscopic arrangements and multilingual vocals, pairing propulsive percussion and horn lines with shimmering electronics and a theatrical stage presence that turns every song into a communal celebration. Expect a set that blends material from Chopping Mountain with fan favorites, driven by call-and-response hooks and politically sharp lyricism that feels urgent and celebratory at once. The concert is ideal for both longtime devotees and newcomers, with the packed dancefloor and kinetic lighting shaping a memorable, sweaty live experience. Tickets are expected to sell quickly, so early booking through official outlets is advised for anyone who doesn't want to miss this essential night of modern Afro-futurist funk in one of Berlin's best underground rooms.
