Kai & Funky Von Ton Steine Scherben
On 2026-12-11, SO36 in the city of Berlin will erupt as Kai & Funky Von Ton Steine Scherben take the stage for an intimate, high-voltage concert that fuses the fierce political edge and raw guitar sound of classic German rock with slinky funk rhythms and modern improvisation; the cramped, graffiti-lined room of SO36 and its storied Kreuzberg setting will amplify every shout, bass slap, and feedback-soaked solo, turning the audience into a chorus of protest and celebration, while jagged rhythms give way to moments of soulful groove and communal sing-alongs. The band's theatrical frontmanship and tight-knit rhythm section will craft a set that moves between incendiary anthems and unexpected covers, punctuated by horn accents and call-and-response breaks that keep the night unpredictable and sweaty; lighting will slice through cigarette haze as stage banter and political asides draw the crowd close, making each song feel like an urgent conversation. Longtime fans and newcomers alike will find the evening both a nostalgic tribute and a fresh reimagining of a rebellious sound, with surges of energy that push people to the front of the room and leave streets spilling out into the neon of Oranienstraße after the last chord. Tickets are limited and the atmosphere promises to be electric, offering a rare chance to witness a band that honors its roots while charging forward.
