Kai & Funky von Ton Steine Scherben feat. Birte Volta
On 2027-09-18, Kai & Funky von Ton Steine Scherben feat. Birte Volta will bring an electrifying evening to Kulturclub Schon Schön in Mainz, blending the incendiary legacy of Ton Steine Scherben with reinvented arrangements and Birte Volta's resonant voice. The intimate club setting promises immediate connection between band and audience, where classic anthems, gritty guitar work, and socially charged lyrics are delivered with renewed urgency and fresh sonic textures. Expect a set that moves from soulful ballads to rousing, punk-inflected rock, punctuated by improvisation and moments of communal sing-along that honor the group's history while pushing its sound forward. Concertgoers will feel both nostalgia and discovery as historic songs are reframed alongside new interpretations, and the room's close quarters make every percussion hit and vocal nuance palpable. Tickets are limited and sought after, so early booking is recommended to secure a place at this unique night of music and political heart.
