Lettischer Rundfunkchor - Arvo Pärt: Kanon Pokajanen / KLANGVOKAL Musikfestival
On 9 April 2027 the Lettischer Rundfunkchor brings Arvo Pärt’s Kanon Pokajanen to the resonant Reinoldisaal Im Reinoldihaus in Dortmund as a centerpiece of the KLANGVOKAL Musikfestival, offering an evening of luminous minimalism and deeply meditative choral sound that fills the historic space with haunting overtones and sacred intensity. The Latvian radio choir’s crystalline blend and precise tuning will render Pärt’s contemplative textures with exceptional clarity, inviting listeners into a ritual-like experience that highlights both the composer’s spiritual austerity and the choir’s extraordinary ensemble cohesion. Audiences can expect a carefully shaped program that emphasizes stillness, sonority, and the powerful emotional neutrality that defines Pärt’s late sacred works, while the Reinoldisaal’s warm acoustics and intimate sightlines will make each phrase feel immediate and enveloping. As a festival highlight, this performance is likely to draw both dedicated Pärt admirers and newcomers seeking a profound concert experience, so early booking is recommended and tickets should be secured in advance to avoid disappointment.
