Bodo Wartke & Melanie Haupt - Antigone
On 2026-11-26 Bodo Wartke and Melanie Haupt bring their reimagined Antigone to the historic Admiralspalast in the city of Berlin, offering a striking fusion of theatrical storytelling and intimately crafted music that reframes the ancient tragedy through contemporary piano, voice and inventive arrangements. Wartke’s agile piano work and sharp lyrical wit pair with Haupt’s dramatic vocal presence to create a performance that moves fluidly between tender moments and intense catharsis, drawing the audience into a narrative that feels both timeless and urgently modern. The ornate, atmospheric setting of the Admiralspalast amplifies the production’s emotional scope, with lighting and staging that underline the conflicts of duty, resistance and human consequence at the heart of Antigone. Fans of chamber theatre and innovative songcraft will find this concert a memorable night in Berlin’s cultural calendar, and tickets are expected to sell quickly, so early booking is advised.
