Bodo Wartke & Melanie Haupt - Antigone
On 2026-12-11, Bodo Wartke and Melanie Haupt bring their Antigone project to the Neue Gebläsehalle Neunkirchen in Neunkirchen, presenting a compelling evening that fuses music, theater and contemporary reinterpretation of the classic myth. The performance pairs Wartke's sharp pianism and linguistic wit with Haupt's intense vocal and dramatic presence, creating moments of stark emotion, dark humor and lyrical clarity that reframe Antigone for a modern audience. Staged in the atmospheric industrial space of the Gebläsehalle, the concert promises intimate acoustics and a visually striking setting that heightens the play's moral tension and human vulnerability. Audiences can expect a tightly woven program of songs, spoken passages and theatrical interplay that invites reflection as much as it entertains, and potential attendees should secure tickets early to ensure a place for this distinctive musical-theatrical event.
