Joachim Witt - Lux Aeterna - Kirchentour 2026
On 2026-12-05 Joachim Witt brings the Lux Aeterna - Kirchentour 2026 to the Kulturkirche St. Jakobi in Stralsund, transforming the historic church into an intense, cathedral-like stage for a concert that blends his iconic Neue Deutsche Welle roots with the brooding, liturgical textures of Lux Aeterna. Witt will perform selections from the new album alongside career-spanning favorites, backed by atmospheric arrangements that make the church's vaulted acoustics and stained-glass light a living part of the performance. The evening promises ritualistic lighting, plaintive organ tones, and moments of intimate storytelling that highlight Witt's deep baritone and theatrical presence. Fans seeking an evocative, once-in-a-season musical experience are advised to secure their tickets early, as this Kirchentour date in Stralsund is expected to attract both longtime devotees and curious newcomers. The concert will be a rare opportunity to hear modern German songwriting staged within the solemn grandeur of St. Jakobi, where every note carries the resonance of the space and the weight of tradition.
