Richard Thompson - Hippies, Thugs & Heroes - Band Tour 2027
On 2027-05-06, Richard Thompson brings the Hippies, Thugs & Heroes Band Tour 2027 to Sheffield City Hall, where fans can expect an evening that weaves together his fierce electric guitar work, storytelling lyricism and the tight, combustible arrangements of his touring band. The concert promises a mix of beloved classics and recent material, delivered with the wit, warmth and ferocious musicianship that have defined Thompson’s career, while the historic acoustic of Sheffield City Hall will make every vocal and string nuance resonate. Longtime devotees and newcomers alike will find the set both intimate and expansive, from spare, heart-stopping ballads to raucous, danceable numbers, and the band’s chemistry onstage ensures surprises and extended instrumental passages. Those planning to attend should secure tickets early to avoid disappointment, as Thompson’s shows routinely sell out and this date is expected to draw a full house in the city of Sheffield.
