The Jesus and Mary Chain & The Psychedelic Furs
On January 23, 2027, Manchester Academy will host a rare double bill as The Jesus and Mary Chain and The Psychedelic Furs share the stage for a night that blends post-punk grit and shoegaze shimmer. Fans can expect a charged concert atmosphere as the Scotland-born noise pioneers and the UK's art-rock stalwarts deliver a mix of brooding textures, jangling melodies and big, anthemic choruses that have defined their careers. The intimate but raucous setting of Manchester Academy will amplify feedback-drenched riffs, shimmering reverb and charismatic vocals, turning classics and deeper cuts alike into visceral live moments. Longtime followers and new listeners alike will be drawn by the bands' enduring influence and the promise of spontaneous onstage chemistry, creating a memorable evening for those who secure tickets early.
